Abstract

The Shasta County Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) will hold a virtual meeting by phone and/or video conference. The committee is authorized under the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self- Determination Act (the Act) and operates in compliance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act. The purpose of the committee is to improve collaborative relationships and to provide advice and recommendations to the Forest Service concerning projects and funding consistent with Title II of the Act as well as to make recommendations on recreation fee proposals for sites on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest within Shasta County. ACTION: Notice of meeting.

SUMMARY: The Shasta County Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) will hold 
a virtual meeting by phone and/or video conference. The committee is 
authorized under the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-
Determination Act (the Act) and operates in compliance with the Federal 
Advisory Committee Act. The purpose of the committee is to improve 
collaborative relationships and to provide advice and recommendations 
to the Forest Service concerning projects and funding consistent with 
Title II of the Act as well as to make recommendations on recreation 
fee proposals for sites on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest within 
Shasta County. RAC information can be found at the following website:

DATES: The meeting will be held on June 8, 2022, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., 
Pacific Daylight Time.
    All RAC meetings are subject to cancellation. For status of the 
meeting prior to attendance, please contact the person listed under For 
Further Information Contact.

ADDRESSES: The meeting is open to the public and will be held virtually 
via telephone and/or video conference. Virtual meeting participation 
details can be found on the website listed under Summary or can be 
obtained by contacting the person listed under For Further Information 
Contact.
    Written comments may be submitted as described under Supplementary 
Information. All comments, including names and addresses when provided, 
are placed in the record and are available for public inspection and 
copying. The public may inspect comments received at the Shasta Lake 
Ranger Station. Please call ahead at 530-275-1587 to facilitate entry 
into the building.

    Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of

Additionally, program information may be made available in languages 
other than English.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The purpose of the meeting is to cover the 
following:
    1. Roll call;
    2. Comments from the Designated Federal Officer (DFO);
    3. Approve minutes from last meeting;
    4. Discuss, recommend, and approve projects;
    5. Public comment period; and
    6. Closing comments from the DFO.
    The meeting is open to the public. The agenda will include time for 
people to make oral statements of three minutes or less. Individuals 
wishing to make an oral statement should request in writing by the 
Friday before the meeting to be scheduled on the agenda. Anyone who 
would like to bring related matters to the attention of the committee 
may file written statements with the committee staff before or after 
the meeting. Written comments and requests for time for oral comments 
must be sent to Monique Rea, RAC Coordinator, 360 Main Street, 
Weaverville, California 96093 or by email to <a href="/cdn-cgi/l/email-protection#a8c5c7c6c1d9ddcd86dacdc9e8dddbccc986cfc7de"><span class="__cf_email__" data-cfemail="523f3d3c3b2327377c20373312272136337c353d24">[email&#160;protected]</span></a>.
    Meeting Accommodations: USDA provides reasonable accommodation to 
individuals with disabilities where appropriate. Please make requests 
in advance for sign language interpreter services, assistive listening 
devices, or other reasonable accommodation to the person listed under 
For Further Information Contact. Determinations for reasonable 
accommodation will be made on a case-by-case basis.
