SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

Supplement (DFARS) Part 234 and related clause at 252.234-7002, Earned
Value Management System; OMB Control Number 0704-0479.
Type of Request: Extension of a currently approved collection.

Needs and Uses: DFARS clause 252.242-7005, Contractor Business
Systems, requires contractors to respond to written determinations of
significant deficiencies in the contractor's business systems as
defined in the clause. The information contractors are required to
submit in response to findings of significant deficiencies in their
accounting system, estimating system, material management and
accounting system, and purchasing system has previously been approved
by the Office of Management and Budget. This request specifically
addresses information required by DFARS clause 252.234-7002, Earned
Value Management System, which requires contractors to respond in
writing to initial and final determinations of significant deficiencies
in the contractor's earned value management system. The requirements
apply to entities that are contractually required to maintain an earned

to correct significant deficiencies in contractor business systems. DoD
