Executive Order 12943 of December 13, 1994
Further Amendment to Executive Order No. 11755
By the authority vested in me as President by the
Constitution and the laws of the United States of
America, and in accordance with sections 3621 and 3622
of title 18, United States Code, and section 4301 of
the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act of 1994,
Public Law 103-355, and in order to improve the
acquisition of small cost items by the Federal
Government, it is hereby ordered that Executive Order
No. 11755, as amended, is further amended as follows:
(a) by deleting the phrase ``section 4082 of title 18
of the United States Code, the Attorney General'' in
the second paragraph of the preamble and inserting in
lieu thereof the following phrase: ``sections 3621 and
3622 of title 18, United States Code, the Bureau of
Prisons'' and
(b) by adding a new subsection (c) to section 1 of the
order. The new subsection (c) is to read as follows:
``(c) The provisions of this order do not apply to
purchases made under the micropurchase authority
contained in section 32 of the Office of Federal
Procurement Policy Act, as amended.''
