§ 42-3131.05aTitle 42

Notice by mail.

Notice shall be deemed to be served properly on the date when mailed by first class mail to the owner of record of the vacant building at the owner’s mailing address as updated in the real property tax records of the Office of Tax and Revenue. Notice of the initial vacant or blighted property determination shall also be posted on the vacant building.

Section 5(a) of D.C. Law 17-216 provided that sections 2, 3, and 4(b) and (c) shall apply to real property tax years beginning after September 30, 2006.
